A Hidden Gem in Sea Point — Turkish Hospitality at Its Finest. If you’re craving an unforgettable culinary escape without leaving Cape Town, this Turkish restaurant in Sea Point is a must-visit. The warmth of the staff and the rich, aromatic spices drifting from the kitchen transported us straight to the heart of Istanbul. Every dish was a masterpiece. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender, slow-cooked to perfection and infused with deep, soulful flavours. The mezze platter was generous and beautifully balanced — creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, and dolmas that tasted like they were rolled by a Turkish grandmother with stories to tell. Love this place !!!
I visited Zeetan Turkish Restaurant, expecting authentic Turkish cuisine. I ordered the mixed grill, shawarma, and starters. The starters were fresh and delicious, and the mixed grill was tasty but heavily spiced and quite hot, more like Indian-style than traditional Turkish flavor. That said, it was still enjoyable. The shawarma, however, was delicious. I could come back every day just to have it! The owner and staff were extremely kind, polite, and welcoming.
I've been to a few Turkish restaurants in Cape Town and by far Zeetan has the best flavours in their cuisine. The service was impeccable, we would definitely be back and recommend our family and friends to visit. The owner was kind enough to chat and check in on us regularly.
Went on a quiet day, we were the only people there. Food took its time but I guess it is because it was made fresh. Food is decent for what you pay, no fancy plating and the atmosphere is laid back. Hence, it is slightly cheaper than other Turkish restaurants. Drinks are average... Hookah smoking and non smoking area is separated. Feel that the establishment appeals more to the younger chilled crowd.
